Limited Warranty — Manufacturer Warranty Only

Effective Date: July 3, 2026

Designer Furniture World is committed to offering quality furniture from trusted manufacturers and vendors. This page explains how warranty coverage works for products purchased through DesignerFurnitureWorld.com.

Designer Furniture World does not offer its own protection plan, extended warranty, accidental damage plan, stain protection plan, furniture insurance plan, in-home service plan, or service contract unless expressly stated in writing.

Any warranty coverage available for a product is provided by the manufacturer or vendor of that specific product, not directly by Designer Furniture World.

The manufacturer, vendor, and warranty information for each product are listed on the product detail page under the Warranty tab where available. Because warranty coverage varies by brand, vendor, product, material, and category, customers should review the product-specific warranty information before placing an order.

By purchasing from Designer Furniture World, you agree to this Manufacturer Warranty Information page, the warranty terms listed on the product page, the applicable manufacturer or vendor warranty, and all other policies posted on our website.

1. Manufacturer or Vendor Warranty Coverage

Warranty coverage varies by product, brand, manufacturer, vendor, category, collection, material, and use.

If a product includes a manufacturer or vendor warranty, the warranty period, covered parts, exclusions, claim requirements, repair options, replacement options, and final remedy are determined by the manufacturer or vendor.

Designer Furniture World may help coordinate communication with the manufacturer or vendor when possible. However, Designer Furniture World does not control the manufacturer’s or vendor’s warranty decision, approval process, timeline, part availability, inspection requirements, replacement availability, remedy, or final outcome.

2. No Designer Furniture World Protection Plan

Designer Furniture World does not currently offer:

  • Accidental damage protection plans
  • Extended protection plans
  • Stain protection plans
  • In-home service plans
  • Furniture insurance plans
  • Service contracts
  • Any warranty beyond the applicable manufacturer or vendor warranty

Any warranty service, if available, is limited to the manufacturer or vendor warranty listed for the specific product.

3. Product-Specific Warranty Terms Control

Because Designer Furniture World sells products from multiple manufacturers and vendors, warranty coverage is not the same for every item.

Please review the Warranty tab on the product detail page before placing your order.

If there is any difference between this page and the warranty information listed on the product detail page or provided by the manufacturer or vendor, the product-specific manufacturer or vendor warranty terms will control.

If warranty information is not shown for a product, customers may contact us before purchase at support@designerfurnitureworld.com to request available warranty details.

4. Residential Use Only Unless Otherwise Stated

Unless the manufacturer or vendor states otherwise in writing, warranty coverage applies only to normal residential use.

Products used in commercial, hospitality, rental, staging, office, public, institutional, or non-household settings may not be covered by the manufacturer or vendor warranty unless the product is specifically approved for that use.

Examples of non-residential use may include hotels, restaurants, offices, showrooms, design staging, rental properties, Airbnb or short-term rental use, assisted living facilities, event spaces, or any setting where the product is used by the public or used beyond normal household conditions.

5. What Manufacturer Warranties May Cover

Depending on the brand and product, a manufacturer or vendor warranty may cover certain defects in materials or workmanship.

Coverage may vary for:

  • Frames
  • Springs or support systems
  • Motion mechanisms
  • Reclining mechanisms
  • Drawer glides
  • Hinges
  • Table mechanisms
  • Electrical components
  • Cushion cores
  • Upholstery tailoring
  • Wood frames
  • Metal frames
  • Stone, marble, glass, or mirror components
  • Outdoor frames or materials
  • Mattresses or adjustable bases

Not every product includes warranty coverage for every component. Please refer to the product’s Warranty tab or the manufacturer’s warranty for exact details.

6. Natural Material and Finish Variations Are Not Defects

Many furniture pieces are made with natural, hand-finished, or artisan materials. Natural variation is part of the beauty and character of the product and is not considered a defect.

The following are not considered warranty defects unless the manufacturer or vendor states otherwise:

  • Natural wood grain variation
  • Knots, mineral marks, small splits, joint lines, and organic wood features
  • Color variation, tone variation, or texture variation
  • Hand-applied finish differences
  • Rustic finish marks
  • Distressing, antiquing, unevenness, or intentional finish variation
  • Reclaimed wood markings
  • Natural stone veining, pitting, color movement, or texture variation
  • Marble, travertine, concrete, or stone surface variation
  • Leather grain variation, wrinkles, scars, color movement, or natural markings
  • Fabric dye-lot variation
  • Cushion softening, settling, loft loss, or comfort changes from normal use
  • Outdoor teak weathering, patina, or color changes from exposure

If a finish characteristic is described or shown on the product page, it is considered part of the product design and is not treated as damage or a defect.

7. Warranty Exclusions

Manufacturer and vendor warranties generally do not cover damage or issues caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidents
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Improper care or cleaning
  • Improper assembly or installation
  • Improper storage
  • Exposure to extreme heat, cold, sunlight, humidity, moisture, or dryness
  • Water damage
  • Pet damage
  • Stains, spills, burns, cuts, scratches, dents, or chips
  • Odors
  • Mold or mildew caused by storage or environmental conditions
  • Fabric pilling, fading, or stretching from normal use
  • Leather stretching, creasing, fading, or natural aging
  • Cushion softening or body impressions from normal use
  • Damage caused by moving, relocating, or transporting the item after delivery
  • Damage caused by third-party installers, movers, contractors, cleaners, or service providers
  • Unauthorized repairs, alterations, reupholstery, refinishing, or modifications
  • Damage caused by using indoor furniture outdoors
  • Damage caused by using outdoor furniture without proper care, covering, drying, or storage
  • Damage caused by use outside normal residential conditions
  • Products sold as final sale, clearance, floor sample, as-is, discontinued, or one-of-a-kind, unless the manufacturer or vendor warranty states otherwise

8. Delivery Damage Is Not a Warranty Claim

Warranty coverage applies to manufacturer or vendor defects after delivery.

Damage that occurs during shipping or delivery is handled separately under Designer Furniture World’s Damage and Claim Policy, not under the manufacturer warranty process.

Customers must inspect items at delivery where possible and report visible damage, missing parts, incorrect items, or delivery concerns according to the Damage and Claim Policy.

If delivery damage is reported late or required documentation is not provided, the claim may be delayed, limited, or denied by the carrier, manufacturer, vendor, or delivery partner.

9. How to Request Warranty Assistance

To request warranty assistance, please contact Designer Furniture World at:

support@designerfurnitureworld.com

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Name used on the order
  • Product name
  • Manufacturer or vendor name, if available
  • Date of delivery
  • Clear photos and/or videos of the issue
  • A description of the concern
  • Photos of labels, tags, serial numbers, law tags, or manufacturer markings if applicable
  • Any additional documentation requested by Designer Furniture World, the manufacturer, or vendor

Proof of purchase is required for any warranty assistance.

10. Warranty Review Process

Once a warranty request is submitted, Designer Furniture World may review the information and forward the claim to the applicable manufacturer or vendor when appropriate.

The manufacturer or vendor may request additional photos, videos, documentation, inspection, parts verification, serial numbers, law tags, product labels, or other information before making a decision.

Warranty review timelines vary by manufacturer, vendor, product type, claim type, part availability, and service availability.

Designer Furniture World will make reasonable efforts to assist with communication, but warranty approval, denial, repair, replacement, parts shipment, inspection, and timing are controlled by the manufacturer or vendor.

11. Warranty Remedies

If a warranty claim is approved by the manufacturer or vendor, the remedy may include one or more of the following, depending on the warranty terms:

  • Replacement parts
  • Repair authorization
  • Technical support
  • Replacement component
  • Replacement item
  • Manufacturer-approved service
  • Another remedy chosen by the manufacturer or vendor

Warranty remedies are determined by the manufacturer or vendor. Designer Furniture World cannot guarantee that the exact same item, finish, fabric, leather, part, or component will be available.

If a product, collection, finish, fabric, leather, or part is discontinued, the manufacturer or vendor may offer a comparable replacement or another remedy according to its warranty terms.

12. No Cash Refund Unless Required by Law

Warranty claims do not automatically qualify for a cash refund.

If a manufacturer or vendor approves a warranty claim, the remedy will be handled according to that manufacturer or vendor’s warranty terms.

Designer Furniture World is not responsible for providing a refund, replacement, repair, credit, or service beyond what is approved by the applicable manufacturer or vendor, unless required by law or expressly agreed to in writing by Designer Furniture World.

13. Do Not Discard, Repair, or Alter the Product

Do not discard, move, repair, alter, reupholster, refinish, disassemble, dispose of, or continue using a product in a way that may worsen the issue before the warranty review is complete.

Doing so may limit or void warranty coverage.

Designer Furniture World, the manufacturer, vendor, carrier, or delivery partner may require the item, packaging, parts, labels, serial numbers, photos, or inspection access to evaluate the claim.

14. Warranty Is Non-Transferable

Unless the manufacturer or vendor states otherwise, warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and original delivery address.

Warranty coverage is not transferable to another person, resale buyer, second owner, or different location.

15. Items That May Not Be Covered

Unless a manufacturer or vendor states otherwise, warranty coverage may not apply to:

  • Clearance items
  • Final sale items
  • Floor samples
  • As-is items
  • Discontinued items
  • One-of-a-kind items
  • Custom items
  • Made-to-order items
  • Special order items
  • Modified items
  • Customer’s own material items
  • Décor
  • Bedding
  • Pillows
  • Rugs
  • Lighting
  • Mirrors
  • Wall art
  • Accessories
  • Items used commercially or outside normal residential use

Please review the product page and manufacturer or vendor warranty details before purchasing.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Designer Furniture World is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or delay-related damages arising from a product issue, warranty claim, manufacturer delay, vendor delay, replacement delay, part delay, discontinued item, service appointment, or warranty decision.

This includes, but is not limited to, loss of use, inconvenience, contractor fees, designer fees, storage fees, moving fees, installation fees, missed appointments, property modifications, lost business, or other third-party costs.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Designer Furniture World’s total liability for any warranty-related claim will not exceed the amount paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

Some states do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.

17. No Additional Warranties by Designer Furniture World

Designer Furniture World does not make any warranty beyond the applicable manufacturer or vendor warranty listed for the product.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Designer Furniture World disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, except where such disclaimer is limited or prohibited by law.

No employee, salesperson, customer service representative, vendor, delivery partner, contractor, website content, email, chat message, or verbal communication may create, expand, or modify warranty coverage unless confirmed in writing by Designer Furniture World.
